This year I celebrated Christmas for the first time ever
without my family. The Danish Christmas is usually
celebrated on the 24th December in the evening, traditionally
with a duck for supper followed by a special rice pudding
(ris a lamande). I invited Katya and Marina for the
celebration, because in Russia they don't celebrate
Christmas before the 7th January. The rice pudding was in my
opinion a disaster, it was my first time cooking it. But
that was not the problem, the problem was that it was
impossible to get fresh milk. So I had to make it with long
lasting milk. Ergh.... not tasty!
Christmas is equal to presents. So Marina and Katya was
prepared for that too... as I was too. Here my eyes are
sticking out at Master and Margarita from Bulgakov. I
already have read that book, it is just fantastic. The reason
for the sticking is because it is in Russian! Difficult
Russian - I read it in English, and that was difficult
enough. But if anyone what to read something from Russia I
can recommend this book!
Wow... I adore space travel and as many people know I want
to send everybody into space. So what could be better than a
poster with Earth's first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. He was a
pioneer, and now there has gone more than 40 years and what has
happened. We are still only taking the initial
steps, we should work harder in honour for the people of
Yuri Gagarin's kind. I have to thank Marina and Katya for
their presents to me:-)
Another visit at Marina and Katya's place. I have developed
a brand new method of enhancing hearing. I have decided
not to patent the idea, so it is free to use. You will
need two Russian cookies which are kind of long and round in
the two ends. It works completely without batteries and
there's no side effects.
This is me, my table, my new IKEA bed, and my room... a very
nice room...
...on the 10th floor of this new apartment building
in the south of Moscow. It is a 22-story building,
which is slowly but surely replacing the old soviet
buildings in the suburbs.

Me and Marina in the kitchen of the flat where I am renting
a room. In the summer I got tired of buying fast food on the
street, so I began making my own food. This is rice porridge
of the finest quality - probably the best I have made ever.
Maybe it was because of the fresh Finnish milk. Mail me for
the recipe;-)
Again we are at Prospekt Vernadskogo in the south of
Moscow. This is a sign from the local gas station. Here you can buy 95 SUPER petrol for 0,37 € a
liter. That is not remarkable, but the fact that you
can buy petrol with a octane rating of 80 is very
remarkable. At some places you can even buy it as low as 72. That accounts for a lot of all the
smoking cars in Russia - in Denmark that would be
illegal. The building in the background is part of a
mystery, because it should be belonging to FSB
(formerly KGB) and beneath it and the park next to
it, there should be a secret underground city Raminki
with nuclear proof shelter for 15.000 people!
