С новом
годом 2004 - Happy New Year
2004. We are celebrating New Year Russian style at the
dormitory at Prospekt Vernadskogo with a lot of food and Sovietskoe
champagne, some beer, and only one bottle of vodka, which was my fault. In my opinion we couldn't celebrate the New
Years coming without vodka - even thought I hate the taste
of it myself!
Masja, our wonderful toastmaster for the evening
always had a lot of games to amuse us. This, as I
can remember is about pronouncing Russians sentences
in various different ways - very easy for me with my
Danish accent.

My dinner neighbour for New Year and me in my trendy "De
Studerendes Råd - Studentersamfundet Esbjerg" t-shirt.
For the people who doesn't know me, that is my beloved
t-shirt from my time in the student union at Aalborg
University Esbjerg - the good old days!
Me on the Zubovsky Bulvar bridge over the Moscow
River near Gorky Park. The bridge is wonderful illuminated in various colours and even more
beautiful when it is snowing like on the picture.
|
Gorky Park is in the winter a huge ice rink because all the
paths are covered with ice. Here I have captured a Russian
boy enjoying his spare time skating and drinking a very
cold beer.
Incredible.... isn't it? This is a towel which only took up
the space of a pack of cigarettes. But when it gets in hot
water it explodes. Of course it is made in China -
like everything else.
Me making my famous pancakes.
In contrary to the most times this was close to a
disaster. Of some strange reason the frying of the
pancakes just didn't go well - but eventually I
managed to finish what I started and we ate
pancakes.
